The Dighton Baseball and Softball League is happy to extend to you and your young baseball players an invitation to our annual Baseball tournaments. The dates are as follows:
15u: July 24,25,26,27 (Senior/Babe Ruth) (guaranteed 3 games)
14u: July 10,11,12,13 (Senior/Babe Ruth) (guaranteed 3 games)
13u: July 17,18,19,20 (Senior/Babe Ruth) (guaranteed 3 games)
12u: July 10,11,12,13 (guaranteed 4 games)
11u: July 10,11,12,13 (guaranteed 4 games)
10u: July 24,25,26,27 (guaranteed 4 games)
9u: July 24,25,26,27 (guaranteed 4 games)
8u: July 17,18,19,20 (guaranteed 4 games)
All will be in round-robin format and each team will be guaranteed at least 3 games. The best win record in each bracket will advance to the semi-finals in their respective age group. In the event of a tie the total runs scored then allowed will act as the tiebreaker.
Each game D.B.S.L. will provide 2 certified umpires; tournament rated game balls and official scorekeeper.
Every participant will receive certificates of tournament participation. There will also be 2 star awards (chosen by coaches) per game. At the conclusion of tournament the teams with the best records in their respective age group will receive first and second place trophies.
These tournaments are for each player and their families to have fun, show off their baseball skills and to represent their leagues with pride. It is one not to miss.
On the Saturday of all tournament weekends there will be a Home-Run Derby with the winners receiving trophies as well.
Space is limited so teams must be registered by June 26th. The necessary registration forms are available through the download section of this website. We hope to see you there!
